MX5 ND with supercharger and coilovers/tires vs 4 cylinder Lotus would be interesting. I'm in a 718 Cayman and I'm going back to an ND Miata, they are just different experiences and I prefer the Miata feel.

Very interesting comparison. I would love to see a 6 speed manual Lotus Emira compared with a 6 speed manual Toyota Supra and a 6 speed manual Nissan Z. To me when I think of powerful relatively affordable 6 speed manual RWD cars, those come to mind.

Mazda Miata is just underpowered against the Lotus, but i still love my 2001 modified version. 😊

50K total and it may compete pretty well with the Lotus.

Maybe it would have been better to compare a new mx-5 to an elise or first gen evora. Prices are much closer. I got a 2024 mx-5 recently. If I had a 100k budget, I wouldn't buy an Emira though, I'd get an Evora GT. I really liked the Evora's styling, just my personal taste.
