I'm glad that Mazda have kept the car simple, it's keeping true to it's dna.

The Miata is a case study in doing things the right way. Never losing sight of the goal, even in an ever-fattening market. Every generation was an improvement over the last, and every generation has it's own distinct character. I have owned thirteen miatas over the last few decades - all generations and in a variety of states (turbo, supercharged, stock, itbs, etc) and enjoyed them as daily drivers, autocross, road course, and even drag cars - and they can do it all well. If you don't need more than two seats, and you don't need to haul your entire house around with you - the Miata is about the perfect automobile. I have been fortunate enough to own / drive a variety of fun cars (I worked in custom/hot-rod/race shops my entire professional life) and not matter what awesome vehicle I spent the day with - I was always thrilled to hop in my Miata. Hagerty has an excellent video on the creation of the Miata, and how it nearly didn't come into fruition. In the list of the greatest cars of all time - the Miata deserves a spot.

Finally, one of the companies was smart and sent a manual transmission car to review.

That convertible top is a wonder. True KISS engineering.

As a German, I absolutely love the way you pronounce the words SCHport, SCHteel, ConSCHtructed, BilSCHtein....

I owned and loved a 2000 Miata Special Edition that I modded with racing coilovers, a header and exhaust, an intake, and "larger" 15-inch wheels and 205 rubber. As much as I loved that car, I sold it to buy a 2014 981 Boxster with a PDK. That was an amazing machine, but I missed my old Miata. I test drove a 2019 ND2 and instantly knew the Boxster needed to go. I bought a 2022 ND2 Grand Touring and have been in a state of automotive bliss ever since. Miata Is Always The Answer, especially if you're driving to the dentist for a root canal.

Thanks Sarah: I'm 77 years old; your reviews and my 2016 MX5, put a smile on my face every time.

Owned a Miata for 3 years as my commuter. It was absolutely fantastic and made driving too and from work my favorite part of the day.

All convertible tops should work like this one. Superb design.

The Miata was magic when it was first introduced, and it still is.

So glad to see the penguins helping out more on your videos. Sarah and penguins are a classic combination on the order of chocolate and peanut butter.

I have a 2021 Sport with 16” wheels and 205 Continental Contact tires. The thing sticks to the road like glue. Best bang for the buck car… And EVERY drive is fun!

I’m not sure why I keep watching Miata reviews (I got one of these recently!) but after watching like 20+ I have to say yours is by far the best! Hope you keep making these amazingly thorough reviews!

Mazda and Toyota are the only car companies I believe truly understand what driving is about. I've had my 1.5l 2016 MX5 since 2019, and I'll probably have it for at least another 5 years, if not more.

Very refreshing to hear a recommendation to buy the base model of any vehicle!

Anyone else think Sarah's hair is the best indicator of the braking performance??? Sarah, you should take these drivers' cars up Mt. Lemmon. Speaking of "Lemons", a metallic lemon wrap would solve the color selections ...

Her face absolutely lit UP giving it The Beans!!! lol Greatest car review, “…there’s no words that do justice for what it feels like to drive this car.” Sarah is truly awesome ❤

It’s a shame that Mazda no longer offers this in British Racing Green with a tan interior. That’s a classic roadster color combo.
