You dont ever really have time to heal in battles anyway, so if you have ten masks, that's double the amount of hits you take, just keep it above the original 5 and you'll be fine, and if you lose half, you still have 5 more hits to go through even if you cant heal, say you lose 5 from 10, you still have an entire 5 left, so if u lost 5 you can at least just try to keep it above the original 5, if you really think about it, it's like having two chances to beat them, if you stay with 5 you die and lose shade and cant continue, with 10 you have basically two shots to actually do it without having to recollect shade and worry about not having enough

heavy blow actually makes it take fewer hits to stagger bosses which can be staggered (hornet, lost kin, thk, etc.) so it can genuinely be really helpful against them

An actually helpful or at least interesting trick you can do is to intentionally not upgrade your nail and only upgrade your spells get shaman stome etc becaaause the dreamer boss fights hp scale with the upgrades of the nail meaning that if you only upgrade your spells and have a broken nail youre gonna annihilate all of em in seconds :D

I just got the platinum trophy 5 minutes ago(including all steel soul trophies) so here are some real tips
1. Try charm combinations with wayward compas
2. The lantern will explode if you go into deepness and one shot you. Since deepness is required to beat the game best to go in without the lantern.
3. Mr mushroom is the true final boss
