What you really need is dreamshield (protects from hitting spikes), grimmchild (cute baby), fragile greed (little known fact: this helps you realize what you are experiencing and the vessel's fragility), dashmaster (dashing down into spikes can convince you to quit the game before you succumb), heavy blow (just for fun), and finally deep focus (helps you get into gamer mode). This setup allows you to overcharm. Overcharming is the key to defeating this gauntlet, since you will take double damage so you can die and get out of it quicker.

Alternatively, download a mod called "randomizer 4" and use the tool called "noclip" to place yourself at the end.

I've created the imortal's enchantement:
1-Grub song: generate soul when you're hit
2-Grub-fly elegy: it boosts the amount of soul you gain from grub song
with these two you get more than enough soul to heal 1 time each 2 damage
3-Deep focus: it will use 1 pack of soul to heal 2 mask
4-Quick focus: reduce the time of heal of deep focus to the normal time
This build grant you 1 pack soul to heal every 2 damage and heal 2 mask with this one.
If you heal every 2 damage you will never die.

i definitely recommend longnail instead of mark of pride, theres a few sections in the path of pain where mark of pride will be too long of a range and likely pogo you too high into ceiling spikes

longnail has just the right amount of range that you have more allowance for timing and space but its not too much so you can get through tighter spaces easier

Long nail and mark of pride just make it harder in some parts so i recommend you to equip deep focus instead

Mark of Pride almost always causes me to bounce into any hazards on the ceiling. Deep Focus + Grubsong is all you really need though, covers all your healing without having to wait for Hiveblood.

I recommend doing White Palace first fully and getting Kingsoul, it will help a LOT here

Grubsong + deep focus means every 2 masks of damage you take you can heal infinitely.

If you have Grubsong, then I cannot reccomend anything else over Deep Focus. It is normally a bad charm, but for the Path Of Pain where you need health, have low SOUL, and have as much time as you will ever need to heal, the charm that lest you double your Focus healing is genuinely a lifesaver.
