Gyrojet has advantage in space. It can fire gunpowder without oxygen. Concept was cool but bullet was hand made i.e. it couldn't be very accurate and it used fuel like rocket so it doesn't make sense to use on earth but in space with no atmosphere and low gravity it would be useful. Only problem is there is no requirement of a gun in space, and for those who are wondering why it was made, it was made in 60's because of " space race".

Ok. The concept of the Apache pistol has awesome potential right there if actually made right. And I loved the duck foot pistol in assassin’s creed 3… I think it was. Good for when your swarmed by annoying guards

Gyrojet gun is very lite for its comparable conventional firearm. It has advantages for long range and large caliber applications.
