One of the items most foreigners don’t know about the US is that even small towns usually have libraries. If the town is too small to have a library there is usually a library on wheels (big truck) that visits once a week. All the big libraries are impressive, but the more impressive thing about them is they loan those books out to any library in the country and therefore all the books are available to anyone for the price of a library card (in many cases free).

For some reason even brand new tier 1 Chinese subways or train stations have disgusting bathrooms flooded with urine and unbearable stench. Maybe a problem with the plumbing standard there or maybe toilet habits where everyone spills on the floor, but its every single station.
