To prevent the glass from falling every where when it's broken you can apply some ventureshield like they use on cars or some clear vinyl to the inside of the glass which will give you that clear look and protect the glass from getting into the inwards of the phone if shattered.

This brings back some memories, when Samsung sold phones with removable plastic back panels I used to take off the battery cover on my S5 mini, put the semi transparet case that I had for it and it looked almost like this, there would be a gap between the phone and the inside of the case but it was a lot easier considering I was a lot less skilled with phones 7 years ago.

Transparent back looks great but it has so much more potential. If that plastic film is removed in theory you can put there anything you want as long as it isn't conductive or anything like that.

What you could do about the glass falling off is use a type of UV adhesive used for attaching LCD to front glass. You can cure it under UV LED lamp either for electronics or for nail polish ($10) and it would do the trick. This way it will look transparent and also add strength. It wouldn't fall off when broke.

Super cool. I don't think this would work on later phones. My S21 Ultra has a kind of "frosted" back glass (both in appearance and in texture). So even if it was a colored film inside, it wouldn't look that great, haha.

Man do I miss my Samsung S20 Ultra. I should have kept that phone. The screen is massive, 6.9" 3200x1440 2K which is fantastic to watch video. Also the last phone with a memory card slot, had a 512G in mine. Love the 108MP camera with the massive zoom capability. That's a cool trick with the back glass.

you could use some transparent film like a thin vinyl to keep the glass from falling out when broken

For the oppo you would need to either dunk the glass in acetone or wipe it down with it, but it would probably work
