Beauty, adventure, culture – the Cotswolds has it all. Famous for its lush rolling pastures, pretty stone villages and rambling rivers, this rural belle has graced countless books, artworks and TV shows – but does it live up to the hype? Absolutely. From the willow-shaded banks of the River Thames, and Blenheim Palace’s lavish decor, to the honey-coloured cottages of Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden and Burford – it’s all just as idyllic as you imagine.

The Cotswolds are a region in the south-west of England, covering an area of ​​over 2000 km² and are sometimes referred to as the "Heart of England". The Cotswolds was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1966, an accolade it more than lives up to – but this landscape isn’t just for admiring. There are ancient castles to explore, wild lakes to kayak, local wines to taste, and endless trails to hike, cycle and ride.

Cotswolds is a hilly area (the highest point, Cleeve Hill , is 330 m) that runs from southwest to northeast through six counties . These counties include Gloucestershire , Oxfordshire and Warwickshire . To the north the Cotswold Hills are bounded by the River Avon , to the east by the city of Oxford , to the west by Cheltenham and to the south by the valley of the River Thames and towns such as Lechlade and Fairford on the River Coln .

Typical places in the region are Broadway, Burford, Chedworth, Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Painswick and Stow-on-the-Wold. The village of Chipping Campden is known for its arts and crafts centre. Bibury has been called the "prettiest village" in England.

The houses in the Cotswolds, often only one and a half storeys high, are mostly made of honey-colored limestone; half-timbered buildings are rare. They used to be covered with straw or reeds; it was only relatively late that they were given roofs made of tiles, which were much more expensive in the past .

The hilly Cotswolds were and are an agricultural region in which cattle and sheep farming also played a role. Today, tourism brings a lot of money into private and public coffers.

Could you imagine this gorgeous place being over run with Immigrant, s, We as British citizens have to protect these wonderful Towns and Villages from outsiders who DONT BELONG HERE, we have to protect our History and Heritage, this is all we as True BRITISH Citizens have, it means EVERYTHING.
