At 14 minutes into the vid when youre trying to extend the piano roll, just type in how many bars you want it to be and it'll extend.. Left of the piano roll where it says "Length"...

@Busyworksbeats The reason it's cutting off your 1st note is when recording is because it's recording the second still before you stop recording . So of you click undo recording it will undo that last split second of the of the 1st bar you recorded before you hit the stop recording button.

After you've been using Ableton Live as long as FL Studio, don't be surprised if you make a switch. I tried FL Studio and the whole "link it to the mixer" thing thru me off so bad, I gave up. Ableton Live is much more intuitive, once you get the basic concept of how it functions. Quick tips: Use the magnifying glass just to the left of the keys in the piano roll to enlarge note lanes. Click-hold-drag the roll up and down to get to different octaves. Use the magnifying glass at the top of the piano roll to zoom in and out at any point on the time line. Click-hold-drag the roll left and right to get to different bars.

You can make the keys bigger in piano roll by hovering over and then you can zoom in and out

its better to use your own drum samples and start with a fresh drum rack....its a pain to reverse engineer the pre made racks sometime.

I got a lot out of this video - Thanks! I followed along making my track with you... my only criticisms for you are as follows; Firstly, You should have familiarized yourself more with Ableton before shooting this tutorial. Secondly; You put yourself down a few times and it made me feel like the 'beat' 'we' created wasn't to be taken 'serious'... It is unpolished - thought it was pretty lit! Thanks
