People think that because doctors usually make more money than most, that they are also the smartest with their money. Doctors are smart clinicians, it doesn’t mean they’re smart in other areas. I was a systems director at several hospitals in my life and I can assure you this is a fact. Their financial acumen is usually not the greatest.
