Looking at the Church with the right perspective.

The church is an important part of being a Christian. Sadly, many have experienced church hurt, something I have felt myself. However, as I traveled, I have had the opportunity to visit many churches in different environments, and I found out that there are just so many wonderful, humble pastors and church staff serving faithfully. Dr. Jeremiah Johnston and I shared some perspectives and encouragement about this topic in this video.

We go to Church for two reasons:
1. Worship God in a group.
2. Support each other in fellowship. Both are necessary. We can’t judge all churches on the wrongs of one. There will be believers to care for the wronged. 🙏♥️

I've been a pastor, bible study leader, men's ministry leader, para-church ministry professional, after 40 years of giving the Contemporary western church just about every ounce of my adult strength I am a "Done"! When we make the basis of our faith attendance at a building for 90 minutes on Sunday but do not "attend" to the Master's call the other 9, 990 minutes of the week than it is on shifting sand. I worship Jesus Christ as complete Lord and Savior but church, as defined by a local meeting, no longer is the locus of my worship. How can we go to church when we are the Ekklesia. I now have rich times with other followers of Christ as we strive toward the mission of the Good Shepherd, to seek and save the lost. The Faith is based on the solid rock, Christ alone and not your local church. It is possible to be a historical biblical follower of Christ and not be a part of mere churchianity. I am living proof!
