Deadly Bourbon Street attack in New Orleans | New details about the suspect emerge

The FBI has identified the suspect who intentionally drove a pickup truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street early New Year's Day.

According to the FBI, a man, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, drove a pickup truck into the crowd around 3:15 a.m. At least 15 people were killed and more than 35 were injured.

My wife and I were there last night. We don’t party so we walked up and down bourbon literally talking and enjoying laughing at the fun everyone was having around us celebrating. It took us about 30-40 minutes to walk down and back up to canal St. We left before midnight . I thank God we did. I can confirm that there WAS adequate barricades available. They however were not being utilized for some strange reason. My wife and I literally have been trying to figure out why the built in metal barricades were not up. It made no sense to us as to why they were using the flimsy orange and white barricades instead of the ones that are literally built into the pavement. If they were up the driver would not have been able to get through.
