I have had Schwab for years. Originally got them for the ATM benefits. They were reimbursing fees before all the other banks and I never had any issues with them so I’ve continued to be a loyal customer.

For their Amex Platinum, does it show up on your Amex account or Schwab account online?

Are there any other requirements to get the card other than opening the brokerage account? I have no intention of investing with Schwab but want the card. Is there a minimum balance to maintain? Does it need to be invested into one of their funds or can I just leave it sitting in the account not invested in anything?

From my 20 plus years of credit card experience(got my 1st card when I was 19, I'm now 39) Amex is the least concerned about new accounts as a credit issuer. Congrats on the card. That's the same reason I got the Schwab Platinum card, I had accumulated over 200k Amex membership rewards points with other Amex cards and dont travel much.
