Danged ol Carefree of Colorado. I have the exact same problem with one of their awnings. Spoke to them about it, besides not really giving a hoot, the ONLY thing they will do is sell the entire arm. No parts AT ALL. I’ll never have another one.
Considering a temp repair until I can buy a better awning…. preferably one that doesn’t have built-in weak spots in critical areas.

Thanks for posting this! Our awning got messed up pretty bad in the Derecho last year in SD. We have the same model and can't afford a new arm so it's nice to see you fixed it yourself! Way to go! Hopefully we can get ours up and running for this summer!
