Eternabond RV roof repair tape is a great product. Eternabond tape will make RV roof repair a simple and long lasting process. RV roof repair comparatively inexpensive using Eternabond tape. This complete repair cost me less that $150.00.

We purchased a camper that is being used as a hunting camper. It required extensive RV roof repair. After using eternabond tape, I recommend this repair tape to anyone. This eternabond rv roof repair tape is extremely sticky. If the roof is clean, the bond is considered permanent.

My recommendation is to try eternabond RV roof repair tape. Eternabond tape installation is a very straight forward and easy. This tape can be purchased online in 2", 4", and 6" wide rolls that are 50 feet long.

UPDATE!!! OK everyone. It has been one year since I used Eternabond Tape to repair this camper roof. The camper has been out in the north Alabama weather the entire time. I checked it for leaks yesterday 02 Sep 19. No leaks! Everything is in great shape.

I did the exact same thing 5 years ago, my camper sits out year round and the tape is holding up great!

Great tips! I'm about to start my *second* Eternabond repair to my camper -- looks like the same Coleman that you have here. My first attempt, I didn't roll and probably overlapped too much, and now I have wood to replace under it. Now I'll be adding some selfl-leveling sealant on either side of the tape.

As an RV tech, I’ll use the Eternabond tape to patch cuts or small holes in the roof material that are recent and haven’t had a chance to rot the wood under it. If applied correctly, an Eternabond patch can last the life of the roof. By drying out your trailer and cleaning and applying correctly, you will get a few more good years out of it. Obviously, I’m not going to do that because it’s not a professional job, but you saved your trailer and a lot of money. Your OSB was discolored, but not rotted and you dried it for 2 weeks, therefore nice job. I would recommend sealing the corners with some Dicor self-leveling caulking to stop any water infiltration from creeping under the Eternabond where the moldings make it difficult to get 100% seal with the tape alone, although you took your time and did a good job.

I did the same around the whole perimeter of my toy hauler. I bought it super cheap because of the water intrusion. The front cap is delaminated along with a couple spots on the side walls. The EDPM roof was torn along the edges and the front strip wasn't sealed properly. I went through almost two 50' rolls and a lot of Dicor self leveling caulking. For all the side stuff I use the EternaBond caulking so it doesn't run down. Plus it's better than silicon. I also used the Dicor two part roof sealant system to further seal everything up. It is water tight now and buys me some time. You did a great job and you should be trouble free for several years.

Using a heat gun is helpful on ends transitions. Use extreme caution to not over heat. It should be not hot that you cannot work with your fingers.
Lacquer thinners is a good cleaner/primer.
Apply with clean soft cloth, no puddles.

I would have used contact cement in the 'envelope' utilizing dowels as you would when gluing a Formica countertop down. That being said, I would apply the dowels when placing the tape in position after the sealing membrane has been removed to prevent unintended contact & sticking. Just pull the dowels out as the application progresses. Sweet as you please! : )

Thanks so much for the video and so to the point and clear!! Besides very helpful as I have a nephew in LA that has a section of his 5th wheel that has done the same as yours..and I sure hope I can get him to watch and learn from your video on repairing his (bed) area..his too has been leaking ( with numerous repairs that haven't either been done correctly or those who "tried" without success hasn't fixed the problem..."money to the wind"..I sure hope he will get help in doing this (IF it hasn't already been done...just hope it works !! (He's considering selling his for a hunting camp too..especially if he can't get the roof repaired correctly. Thanks again !!

Acetone is what your suppose to use on rubber and metal. This stuff is awesome. Also compression does activate the glue.

That Lexel you used is an amazing choice for sealant and adhesive purposes. Probably the best I’ve ever used and that’s in Michigan’s ridiculously harsh weather

NIce job! I can only imagine that a 2nd person, would have made it 4 times easier. Think I would have done the side first, then the top, so that it overlaps from above. But hey, if it works, it works!

Great video.  Thanks.  The area I need to repair is the leading edge on a 2016 Keystone Passport.  Currently there is calk that was put on in manufacturing, and is now cracking.  Do I need to remove the calk, or just tape over it after cleaning?  Thanks in advance for the answer

I just bought the tape but think I'm going to need that high priced roller too wow lol. my rv is old and leaky too, I'd like to use it as a living space though, so I def need to get these leaks covered on the sides, my channel strip is actually hanging of now, see I was just going to put the tape slam on dirt lol. But this makes more sense. So I'm going to get my ladder and 50/50 vine and water and clean, remove the whole trim or cut whats hanging and just put this tape over the part thats cut.

I have this old awning thats attaching right, its all shredded up I can't even tell where the water is going but its def leaking right underneath the damaged awning, I want to detach the whole thing but have to look more into that later in the day hours, its night right now.
