The answer is yes. It's just not inside a computer. That's just materialisms last gasp trying to stay relevant. The fundamental nature of reality is very well understood in advaita vedanta, kabballah, pmatonism/neoplatonism, hermeticism and pretty much every other rational philosophical and metaphysical tradition. The fundamental nature of reality is best pointed at by the word consciousness in the metaphysical meaning of the word.

Physicalism, and all the laws of nature are like a dream in the mind of a much higher being. This dream has "rules" but one could argue these are simply persistent patterns. Not something timeless. A behavour of mind.

Scientists act as if reality is based on rules or laws. But really science makes that up. Rules are discovered, that is, made up. They are maps of mind which is an activity of consciousness.

We can say it's a simulation in the allegorical sense. But in specific, even computers are emergent manifestations of the mind.

Until people understand these things, reality will forever be a prison for your mind.

I went to a private school directly across the road is a park, during my attendance at the school each student had to pick up all litter items in and around the park whether it was mine or not and dispose of it in the bin, this was every student at least once a week.
I now live near a public school which is surrounded by 3 parks these students utilise all 3 parks and it is covered in rubbish everywhere even though the park provides bins. Out of curiosity I went back to the park near my school it continues to be pristine and such a delight to walk through.
What a shame public schools don’t teach students to respect not only the environment around you but your own belongings including other people and animals we share this beautiful planet with.

I enjoyed this dialogue. I understand that we are collectively creating our reality, however, I feel there are some things we encounter that are outside of our creation. I have often come to places in my journey where no matter what I desired, it seemed there were things that were outside my control, almost like a source code running in the background that takes over at times.

I love this. My pet theory of everything that I've been talking to anyone who would listen is that matter and particles don't exist. They are only manifestations of light interacting and making interference patterns for different phases, frequencies, and amplitudes to give the illusion of matter. 😁
