You're not a fool when you first start. Just a beginner. There's a huge difference

Wow…this speech touched my heart, so inspirational….. Is perfectionistic a real word?

We bought a 1912 house last year. The back porch needed mostly new glass so we did this. Huge storm windows too. All new and looks great. Bottom of glass porch wall was also rotten so jacked it up for new bottom framing. New, strong and highly insulated now.

Hardest part is getting the consistency of the putty just right.

Had to learn this at 9years old, no summer break or weekends sleeping in.
My father taught me how to be a glassman.

I pride myself on developing skills well enough to save myself money.

You need to push it into the corners under force using your thumb.

Knead the putty before you start.

Apart from that it looks like you had good knife technique!

I taught myself how to glaze windows. My boss was selling his house. I prepped and re glazed all 20 windows on the house. I had to use scaffolding for half of them.

I’m way to perfectionistic and my anxiety won’t let me fail at something. But I’m working on it and it’s getting better

There's a quote I really like. "Regard yourself as a cloud in the flesh.. Because you see,
clouds never make mistakes. Did you ever see a cloud that
was misshapen? Did you ever see a badly designed wave?
No. They always do the right thing. But if you will treat
yourself-for a while-as a cloud or wave, and realize that
you can't make a mistake whatever you do, because even if
you do something that seems to be totally disastrous, it will
all come out in the wash somehow or other... Then through
IS capacity, you will develop a kind of confidence. And
through confidence you will be able to trust your own
intuition. This is the middle way of knowing that it haS
nothing to do with your decision to do this or not. Whether
you decide that you can't make a mistake, or whether you
don't decide it, it's true anyway. You are like cloud and water.
And through that realization, without overcompensating in
the other direction, you will come to the point where you
begin to be on good terms with your own being, and to be
able to trust your own brain." -Alan Watts

At first glance I thought it was an icecream shop with square icecream tubs, and he was just playing around with the icecream

I can remember putting windows in an old gym. It took 5 of us 4 days straight. Kept the putty in a truck with the heater on.

Did this to my dinning room window 15yrs ago. Still have 99% of supplies left over. Smallest pack of clips and putty.
