How to Tune Your Guitar To Drop D Tuning - Guitar Lesson [ES-021]

In this guitar lesson I'll show you how to tune your guitar to Drop D Tuning. It;s very easy but I get questions about it all the time which is why I made this video!

You can press down the 2nd fret and tune the top string to E like normal. When you play the open string it will be tuned to D.

Hey guys who are having trouble, you don’t tighten the strings, you loosen the e string slightly to a low D not a high D

Brilliant. THank you, .. As a self confessed Hack, I was always a lil unclear between tuning down just the E string Vs retuning the entire guitar to "D" lol....that was never properly clarified for me, then again it has not been a hugely pressing


But now i'm clear on it & can start playing around with this tuning knowing exactly what the hell i'm doing & with out question .. :-)
