I think it speaks somewhat to the parasocial nature of internet celebrity that people seem to assume that someone leaving the screen also means they're leaving the lives of the other actors. And then furthermore, that that must mean there was some kind of drama or hurt feelings, because otherwise why would you turn your back on your friends?

It's a job, y'all. People don't stop being friends because they don't work at the same McDonald's anymore. (I mean, I guess they do sometimes.)

Tbf Ned always rubbed me the wrong way. He made his whole personality being the “married guy” and saying he loved his wife every single video, every chance he got. Trying way too hard to prove that image. Came off as disingenuous.
Then it comes out he’s cheating on his wife with the producer? 😂 honestly …I wasn’t surprised. Don’t blame them all for cutting that creep out.

Who they became after the scandal is better for their longevity than who they were before. Ned's influence was very obviously the home goods direction with old Buzzfeed style videos, whereas this era feels like they're turning into a production company that has found their footing. They take way more creative risks that are interesting and are venturing into each of their individual areas of interest and expertise and blending it together. I hope they venture into short films and scripted shows.They are vastly more interesting and exciting than they ever have been, and it's been so much fun to watch them have their chance to be really creative and experimental.
