Try Guys did the smart thing BEFORE even considerig this choice.
* They kept main content free on youtube.
* They ran some paid events to see if theres interest for extra content
* They diversified their content, adding many shows within their brand.
* They added new members and phased their mains slowly out. Most videos had at OG 1 main Try Guy in them, but they kept bringing in new members to test audience responses and slowly transition the audience.
* They did this all over many years, very slowly helping their audience adapt to change and read those effects.
* They asked Dropout for help. Dropout is one of the OGs in this market and the most successful, and theyll jump at the opportunity to help other businesses. Asking someone who know what theyre doing is a game changer (see what i did there).

This is why Try Guys and Beacon succeeded where Watcher did not.

IMO they’re doing things right: the subscription cost is lower, the videos will still be on Yt eventually, Eugene and the rest of the teams parted on good terms with a great explanation even though they didn’t owe anyone anything.
