When I was a kid, they made a movie about the staircase. I can't believe I still remember it. The handrailing was added later by a different carpenter.

The carpenter's name was John. He appeared after the nuns prayed for someone to come and build the stairs. There are no nails in the entire stair case and no one can figure out how it was built.
