I like how Ben and May had the same thought about Gwen that she was pretty and even Peter acknowledges this

She didn’t deserve to die. She didn’t deserve this. This breaks my heart so much.

The irony of him being a good guy superhero, and not being good for the person he loves is beyond heart breaking

This scene always makes me sad
"what a pretty girl, did you ask her out?"
"I can't"
"Why?"
"I'm just no good for her"

And the fact that she was sad that she said herself "Everyone" was there for her at the funeral but the one person she cared about

They could have done a much better job concealing the exact time Gwen would die in the sequel.
But most viewers knowing that Peter was going to get her killed really elevated a lot of scenes in this movie and its sequel.
