That is so cool! He knew Baby Ben :) I have a funny dog story too. We got a black lab, Rebel, from a breeder about 11 years ago. Just about last month, my uncle calls us saying his friend has a black lab puppy who needs a home. It turns out that friend is the women who we got Rebel from, and the puppy is his niece! Small world isn't it?

I have a genuine question! I see Ben has his harness on but you’re not using it and are holding him by the leash. The gentleman who worked with Benny before was petting him as were you. Does that mean if the dog isn’t guiding in that moment and the harness isn’t being used despite being on then it’s okay to pet? And I don’t mean I’m going to get pet a working dog if harness isn’t being used. I mean the dogs understand that when in harness it’s work time, so can they distinguish between harness versus leash even in the middle of work?
