I got a couple of these given to me and as they do differ from household microwaves I thought I would do a quick video stripping one for parts.

Hi Andrew. That round indented section in the waveguide is whats called "Dead Tuning" Its used to tune the waveguide to the correct frequency of operation if for design reasons you have had to make the waveguide the wrong shape. Perhaps there are different frequency applications in some of the manufactures other products and they are using common parts across them and tuning to suit. you can often see dents in long stretches of solid waveguide going up transmission towers where there is greater room for error - often done with a large hammer and chisel type device!

Important thing, please notice. Pink ceramic insulator in the center of magnetrons should be kept intact by all means. The dust of this ceramics is carcinogen and highly dangerous for respiratory system.

I use also the glass as bed surface for 3D printing. And i like these 3-5 Rpm motors for building 3D-Scanners or other things. And with the capacitors you can build relative easy a spot welding machine for 18650 or other batterys.
