The M3 Lee was in service till 1945. served in Russia, United States, Britian, a small contingent of forces in Italy, French resistance, and a few others (none of these survived the war as far as the resistance fighters went, the marines all but abandoned there M3 Lees in the Pacific at the end cause the transportation costs were vastly outweighing the need for them).

The M3 Lee was seen in El Almein, Okinowa, Kursk, and more locations. Any tanks that existed after the war ended was sold to China for scrap steel to make stuff, such as a radio tower that was to look like the French Eiffel Tower. The M4 did replace these machines in primary use but not quick enough to replace all tank use, once the tank was lost it was repaired if possible and sent back in. Russian crews noted that the tank had great heat and could start anytime due to an internal crank and electric starter option if the cold wasnt too bad (Though due to Kursk it was given the nickname "Coffin of 7 brothers" due to the Pak 8.8 CM being able to punch threw the upper glacis with relative ease and often it was nocked out due to ambush instead of enemy tank fire)

The M3 moved very slowly so the M4 could move a bit faster but still not exactly fast

So this tank is the reason why we have to grind through 500 different Sherman in WT?

Excellent vid clip! The famed M3 Lee served in various Militaries around the world! From North Africa to the Eastern Front, and the Far East ( not the Pacific, USMC Tankers transitioned from the M3 Lights to the M4 Mediums) . Some even found their way to the Middle East. Not mentioned were the Armored Recovery Vehicles based on the M3, such as the M32 or the towing tractors or the CDL.

The M3 is actually underrated and very effective

Many were used in the Pacific against the Japanese who had pretty bad tanks more of the time, the 75mm gun on the Grant was very good at supporting troops.

Also grant had a small armor improvement in the up turret with getting rid of American machine gun cupola

I actually just bought a model kit if this, almost done now, such a unique and essential tank!

Hot take: the Lee is an amazing tank.

Tanks are more than what they are in war thunder and WOT, they're mainly infantry support vehicles. A highly versatile tank like the Lee would be great for infantry support.

The M3 still fought on until the end of the war fighting in the Pacifc theater.

Actually, the British version of the M3 also removed the top machinegun (with its ammo) and a crew member to allow it to carry extra cans of water (very important in North Africa).

The long ass name was very well pronounced!

Only the german Luck would be pronounced like the englisch (to) look. But doesn't matter

The M3 gets a lot of shit, but it was actually very capable for when it was introduced. Largest issue was the high amount of crew required. However, that 75mm was very powerful for when it was introduced, and it's armor was quite good. It certainly wasn't an amazing or legendary tank, it could and did do work until newer and better tanks could be developed and enter mass production... Pretty good for something slapped together in a panic.
