7 Ways How Larry Bird Could Kill You

Larry Bird was a special player, who had many way how to beat you. If it was has trash talk, his 3 pointers, his step back, his fall way... When he played for the boston celtics he was unstoppable. In his pirme as good as Michael Jordan.
Now the first way that larry bird could beat any defender was his fall away jump shot. this is pretty much comparable to michael jordans fade away,
but larry would do it slightly different. most of the times he was guarded pretty close, and he would just shoot the ball in the defenders face while falling back.
the amazing thing was, even though larry was not able to jump very high, because of his height and his shooting technic he never got rejected.
and he would use this shot as his ultimate weapon. no matter how tall the defender was, this shot was almost unguardable, expecially because larry took this shot from almost every where. in the mid 1980 he perfected this weapon, and this shot was a big reason why larry would always avg more than 25 points per game in that period.

And the next weapon of larry bird that i have on my list is the stepback. In todays game the step back is one of the most used offensive weapons in the nba.
players like james harden would not exist in the same way if he did not use the step back. but in the 1980s not many players used this move.
Larry bird was one of the first players that used the stepback, and he even liked to combine in with a nice cross, which turned into a an ancle breaker
most of the times.

Next on my list I have Larry Bird passing ability. Now that we have covered that Larry had the fall away and the step back, it gets even better because
larry was probably the best passing power/small forward of all time.
He not only would see the open man, but also see even the smallest wholes in your defense and then make an increable pass.
No other player passed the ball through the legs of his defenders as often as larry bird. Play no look passes like magic johnson,
behind the back passes like magic Johnson, Bounce passes like Magic Johnson. I mean this man was unbelieveable with his passing skills.
And if yopu dont believe me, lets take a look.

And the next weapon on my list is larry birds 3 point shot. Larry bird is one of the best shooters of all time. He would get of a 3 anytime he wanted. If it was a straight 3 pointer, a fall away 3 pointer or a in your face 3 pointer. yes you probably knew that. Now let me tell you something that you might now know.
Larry did not really work on his 3 point shot. He never worked hours and hours shooting 3. He was simply that good.
I mean there is a reason he won the 3 point contest without even preparing.

Next is one of the most underated attributes a player can have.
the hustle and will.
you wont find many nba superstars that would sacrifice their body like larry bird did. hustling after every loose ball, and giving his team second shot oppurtunities.
this was infactius to his team. and if your best player is also the one with the most hustle plays, your team is in a good place

and the next atribute i have on my list is the clutch gene.
We all know that not every great player is capable to make the game deciding shot.
this is where guys like jordan, reggie miller and of course bird take over. with all the great attributes i alread mentioned, larry bird
was at his best when the game was on the line
And the last category, and this is where he would destroy todays player, is the mental game, or lets call it trash talk.
now with all the legends I talked to in the past, if it was dennis rodman, domnique wilkins or gary payton, they all told me that larry
was the best trash talker they ever faced.
i was able to get in your head and always bag it up.
this was larry ultimate weapon.

Passed like Magic, shoots like Curry, rebounds/hustles like Rodman, greatest playmaker of all time. Watching Bird as a kid inspired me to try my hardest no matter what. People forget, Bird was a beast.
