I decided to try minoxidil for beard growth (I was only 19 at the time) and had no history of heart issues so I wasn't particularly worried about side effects. I took it for about 2 months and had to stop because I was getting daily severe palpitations. They were disrupting my life. One day soon after coming off minoxidil I went to the gym and felt my heart sort of jump and I had such bad chest pain for days. When I went to a doctor they couldn't see anything wrong. I am genuinely convinced that it was a result of minoxidil so please just be careful if you want to take it!

This is my experience of using minoxidil. The first time I used it, it took me about 2 to 3 months to grow a full beard, then I stopped using it and after about 2 months I almost lost my beard. I started using it again after a while, but this time it was different, it caused me to experience severe hair loss, and parts of my hair became completely bald, and it took a long time to return to the first day. Skin sensitivity, dry facial skin, headache, and heart palpitations were the complications I experienced
Yet I'm being tempted to use it again.

You should know that minoxidil doesn't just affect the parts you apply. Rather, it affects the whole body, so you will see hair growth on your hands, chest, abdomen, eyebrows, neck, and ears.

I took minoxidil for my beard growth but I started to grow hair in other parts of my body ( even though I just applied on my beard not anywhere else ) I was so hairy, I had thick eyebrows, basically I knew If I would not stop I would turn into chimpanzee.

I think he's right. BC all this weird started happening to me ONLY when I started using Minoxidil. My body got weaker, I would miss periods (And I AM REGULAR every month menstruating). I got tired EASILY, alll the symptoms of pregnancy, irritability, etc.

This is all so odd, never had any side effects to be fair other than the dry skin which stopped after like 2 months of using it
