This is a true love story, separated because she can't have a child and when he is dying both of them were longing to see each other for one last time sad but they get to tell each other for the last time they still love each a great love story thanks for the story. 🙏🇨🇦🌟

My mom met both the Shah and Soraya in Düsseldorf, Germany, back in the 50’s. I still have a picture card of the Shah and Soraya that they gave to my mom. She was working as a chambermaid in the Breitenbacher Hof. My mom had only good things to say about the two of them. On the last day of their stay they gave my mom a giant bouquet of flowers and a bottle of perfume as thank you gifts. Thank you for posting this little know piece of history. I enjoyed it as i spent a lot of time in iran, or Persian as we preferred to call it from 78 to 95 with my Iranian husband and his family. I was v familiar with this story but your presentation is excellent.

She reminds me of Ingrid Bergman. Also the Iranian royal family maybe very patriarchal and difficult for an outsider to live with them but at least unlike most of the other royal families in the Middle East, they allowed their women to be seen in the public looking glamorous and allowed them to have a voice. You would never hear about the women of all the kingdoms of the Middle East except Jordanian royals.
