Built this on an SMP. Had to use an existing gold farm to comply with rules, but managed to hook it up to drop gold into this setup, which works great!

1) give more chests (depth) to the blackstone and gravel slices
2) detect fill level of the above and SPLIT incoming blackstone and gravel (above a certain fill level) such that they don't get put into a shulker box, and instead get trashed.
3) you can do this for each item type but it makes the storage more complex
4) alternatively, you can use the fill level (or even a complex timer) to automatically disable the bartering portion of the farm and as a secondary measure, turn on gold compression.
5) ....alternatively from all the above, you can collect half as many piglins, and split incoming gold in half, storing some gold and bartering with the "excess". this cuts the bartering farm's speed in half but is a "simpler" method to allowing the farm to run longer without the added complexity to preserve shulker boxes. ....only do number 5 if you're super-lazy, though.

I wanted to use piglin spawning method for my own design of bartering, so I'm listing all the items needed for that if anyone needs it, since I noted them.
May be not exact amounts, bring couple extra just in case.

4 stacks of blocks
2 stacks of slabs
some temporary blocks
4 dirt
2 stacks of scaffolding
4 warped fungus
7 soul torches
2 dispensers
23 carved pumpkins
5 powered rails
1 activator rail
2 observers
lots of regular rails depending on how far farm is
4 levers
about 23 minecarts and furnace minecarts
some coal
