Are There Tests Available to Tell if You're at Risk for a Stroke?
Показать описание
There are a few tests to predict who has a high chance of having a stroke in the future. Dr. Vishal Jani, MBBS explains these tests.
For a person who does not have any active symptoms of stroke, there are limited tests we can perform to predict who is going to have a stroke. But, there are some tests that help us understand who does have high chances of having a stroke in the future. Some of them could be an ultrasound of the neck; patients who have history of a family member who has a history of aneurisms in the brain, we can screen those with certain non-invasive CT scans. We also can check certain blood tests. So to answer this, yes there are a few tests but they are not 100% in prediction. So, the idea of having a symptom and going to the hospital is of paramount importance.
