NBA 2K13: My Player Will Not Dunk Solution - My Career Mode (HD)

Since I struggled with this issue and from many google searches I can tell many others have run into this very problem I threw together a quick video after I found the simple solution.

This video will be only for those struggling with their "My Career" mode. Even after leveling up just about every stat category you will still not be able to dunk. This is how you adjust some quick settings to get you flying in no time.

Ok i got it you have to buy a dunk package EQUIP IT but that not all! You must have vertical of 50 to dunk or else it will be lay-ups-ups

I figured it out. Equip different dunk packages in every slot. Each dunk package depends on how you approach the rim and when you hit square ( or right stick.) for example, the historic Jordan dunk you go to dunk at start of paint. Mix and match until you find perfect set up for you. I do advise at least one Under Basket dunk, so you can do standing too. Hope that helps everyone.

Make sure your vertical is also up... and when dunking pull that right trigger as you head towards the basket. If you are not dunking easily you need to level up another category.

Yep you sure do and depending on what position you are you might have to have a higher level of vertical and dunk in order to dunk. Best way to test it out is to just go to a practice and see if you can dunk against nobody. If not keep leveling up those skills that would help in dunking.

In game is a bit more tricky but trust me if you continue to give it a go you will get the hang of it. Remember to pull that right trigger when going to the basket. You must be sprinting for it to work. The last game I played I dunked nearly 10 times.. by far the most and it just sort of clicked.

I would say then make sure your stats in all the correct categories are high enough depending on your position. If you are a PG you need to have vertical and other areas higher. But if those areas are higher all you need to do is equip and it will work.

I would say make sure you are leveled up in the right areas that would make a difference in dunking. Vertical, jumping and so forth.

Hummm are you holding right trigger when heading towards the basket? Also what helped me was to go into practice and just give it a go. Also you might need to up your inside scoring level along with some others based on what position you play.

Combo of two factors.. I have put in nearly 100 hours into the game and I am ashamed to admit I have spent money buying the VC coins in game. If you attempt to buy something you can not afford it gives you the option. But I do enjoy being beast in my second year of my career.

OMG THANK YOU SO THANK YOU X I was so mad because i had a 99 vertical and like 85 dunk and even bought the historical dunk pack for MJ and still couldnt dunk, but thanks for telling me to equip the dunk! Now it works, so thank you so much!

I am a bit confused. You should be able to do the opposite of what I did in the video and your player should not dunk. Check to see if you have a dunk package applied and if so turn it to None.
