This strategy only makes sense when you are 1, 2, 3, maybe 4. in your league. You can easily burn up a large number of attacks on the Bridge and lose out on points. The other thing to consider is that not everyone can sit around all day playing Hero Wars. Some, myself included, can play only the first hour of the day. If the Bridge isn't opened, I can either not attack for the day or take out a couple in LH, Mage, or Barracks. Seems like a no brainer to me.

This is misleading. Going for the Citadel in Gold maybe the best strategy, but in silver and lower leagues it is better to go for the lighthouse/Mage Academy/Barracks. The best strategy is to prioritize the fortifications with the lower number of teams (after opening the map up). This strategy need to be flexible and depending on the strength of teams defending the fortifications

eg 6 fights will take the L/MA/B for 240pts. 6 fights will take Citadel for 240pts. Fail one fight and L/MA/B will give 180pts (lose 1 40pt bonus) and for the Citadel you have 100pts (lose 120pt bonus).

Hard to believe a for sure winning strategy every time. What about if both sides are using it?
