The BrainX Community with Case School of Engineering’s Department of Biomedical Engineering and Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics (CCIPD) hosted a session titled “Solving Health Care Challenges with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence" on June 11, 2019. Speakers included Ashish Khanna from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Rakesh Shiradkar, a research associate in the CCIPD, and Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center. The discussion focused on the multifaceted challenges facing health care and the promise of machine learning and artificial intelligence in solving them, as well as the ethical and legal issues with application of artificial intelligence in health care.
