Awesome, thanks for the video over a very familiar route of north Ft. Worth. I was so happy to see 51 Whisky over here today at KRPH with a young fellow that said he was practicing his Instrument training and some nice folks with him that I assume was his family. Had a good chat. I was sure hoping to see Christy Wong get out of the plane there by the FBO but...OH WELL, maybe next time. LOL

This is a good idea. I got my commercial earlier this year. Just starting to work on my CFI too. Thanks for the ideas, and I hope we can see your smiling faces again soon!

Any flight that uses a Whataburger location as a navigational aid is ACES in my book. Oh, Christy and Dan were a pretty cool Cockpit Resource Management team, too. 😜 I MISS TEXAS! ❤️🇺🇸✈️🍔🍟🥤😎👍

I used to do aerial photography back in the 90's for the soil conservation service in KS & OK in an old Piper PA-23 Apache. Single pilot operation running the camera as well, taking 1×2 mile wide photos from 8, 000' AGL. The apache was all fuel tank and if weather held up, occasionally made slightly over 10 hr nonstop flights. Miss those days.

7:21 I've got the traffic on ADS-B. " ADS-B? At least he didn't say Fish Finder"/ 14:04 "A lot of Cherokees end in Whiskey!"

Looks like a fun way to use your commercial certificate!

Hey...not sure if you noticed it, but the flash tube on your beacon is not right. You probably need to change it out. Might be a good time to change to a Whelen Orion LED beacon. New "old stock" prices on those things is stupid...around $200 for a A465 A-D.
If you hear a large pop or thump when you turn on your beacon, it's the flash tube. Also, they'll partially work, which is what yours is apparently doing.

Cool, thanks for sharing. Christy, love your Warrior! Takes me back did my training and PP in a 79 Warrior II on nice little grass runway here in Iowa 20 years ago. Was fun! Then a 69 Arrow for complex, instrument and a couple hundred hours. Have had a Cirrus for years but still a Piper guy at heart. All those N numbers ending in Whiskey for Warriors are about like all the CD Cirrus. You and Dan need to make it up to the ACCA in Illinois this July! Then right into Airventure if you can! Heck, be almost there! Thanks again! Fly Safe.

Nice video.

Does anyone else notice the constant background squeal at cruise RPM? Fatiguing.

Hi, I have a few questions for you about this kind of flight:

1) Is a 100 Hour inspection required for this flight? I'm guessing 91.409b would require it if a photographer is being carried.

2) Is commercial insurance required and/or recommended for aerial photography operations?

3) Who was acting as PIC? It appears that it was Christy because she was sole manipulator of the controls, it's her airplane, etc. However, Dan was often telling her what to do, briefed the flight, and handled the radios. How does this impact the commercial nature of the flight? What if Dan was not commercial rated?

4) Is "holding out" allowed for aerial photography? Or does the aerial photography have to be incidental? Can Christy advertise to the world "any photographer who wants a flight to take photos, pay me?" Or, does it have to be a private arrangement such as "Dan offered his customer some aerial photos, and privately hired Christy for this flight?"

Nice landing Christy. What were the pictures used for if you can say?
