Obama campaigned a lot in my state of Ohio, which voted for him in two elections. While he was in office the General Motors plant in my town moved to Mexico. It was an economic bombshell. He said those manufacturing jobs were leaving and not coming back. Thanks, Obama.

Hilary gave no real reason to vote for her, she never figured out what her message was. She just assumed she was entitled to the Presidency. I don't like Trump but he campaigned hard and asked for people's votes and he had a strong clear identity and message (whether you liked it or not). Hilary was also extremely rude and patronizing to anyone who was thinking of voting for Trump calling them "deplorables". People outside big Democratic cities (in the suburbs, small towns, rural areas) don't appreciate this condescending, elitist attitude. She put a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.

Political parties aside, Obama was very personable and felt genuine. Clinton just looked like she was just going through the motions. That’s what I think anyway.

During the 2016 campaign I barely remember seeing Hilary’s face or anything she said, meanwhile Trump’s face was everywhere.

He campaigned aggressively and cleverly used social media to reach out to the people. He engaged and drew in voters whilst Clinton just sort of coasted along in the background.
