The thing I like is how he's actually improved almost to the point that Paul George has, but one thing I hate is how in a lot of these comment Westbrook is in people's top 5 PG list. Honestly he is not even a top 7 PG, he has 0 offensive awareness (his version of offense is running down the lane at full speed) and even though he is a good on ball defender, his off-ball defenese is buns and his assist game is off and on. To be honest he could be a top 3 shooting guard in the league. IF you don't believe me watch: "Why Russel Westbrook Is Not a Championship Point Guard"

1. Tony Parker
2. Chris Paul
3. John Wall
4. Stephen Curry
5. Russell Westbrook
6. Kyrie Irving
7. Damian Lillard

(Not putting Rose or Rondo cuz theyre out)

The comment section should be fun to read. I always love the in-depth analysis from the NBA experts below.

he is legit top 5 PG's but CP3 is just amazing

He didn't say he was the best PG in the league. He said he wants to be. Meaning throughout this season he's going to prove to everyone that he isn't just an average player, but someone who can be considered one of the best. Not at the top with CP3 and Westbrook, but passed them.

He is making sure that $80 million contract doesn't go to waste.

The top 5 are clearly cp3, Westbrook, tony parker curry and Wall. But wall is pretty much the defensive pg and best point bpoint guard in the east as of right now. No kyrie is not better, no not rose and rondo because of injuries. He has shown what he is capable of and how dangerous he is to play. If wall ever gets his shot down consistently, it is a wrap. I just don't understand why he doesn't work with beal or Webster to improve it much more. Shit he can come workout with me to to improve his shot. We are going back to the playoffs this year and he is going to lead us to it.

For me personally:

*Top Point Guard*:
Based on Statistics: Chris Paul
Based on Accomplishments: Tony Parker

I would say John Wall is most improved though. Westbrook is a freak athletically, but his basketball IQ is low for the point guard position and he plays off his erratic emotions; not logically like other top point guards. I like Curry's improvements to his game this year, but he still has a lot room to grow imo.

Wall has really stepped up this year, lot of respect for him. If he keeps it up he will be a superstar.

I see so many people arguing about the top Pg's in the league and very few of them mention Tony Parker, the guy deserves to be in the conversation, he is so underrated

considering how young John Wall is, the things he does in the NBA is unbelievable. Second to CP3 in assists, thats something to see.

Man, this is a Point Guard era. Even the pg who are considered in 2nd tier, such as Mike Conley, Eric Bledsoe, J.Lin etc. are out there playing beautiful basketball right now.

He's definitely making his case. The only thing he needs to solidify it is by actually making the playoffs and leading his team to some playoff runs. Which the Wizards are doing lately, coming together, playing better, waiting for Beal to return, and still with JWall as their leader. In terms of facilitating he's rightfully second behind CP3. In terms of running an offense, he's 3rd behind Tony Parker and CP3. In terms of defense he's probably 2nd to or tied with CP/Rondo. Anywhere you point to John Wall is nearing the top in that category. He's proving to be worth that max deal.

The potential for John Wall to be the best is there, but I still think he can get better though, no question. For me, CP3 is still the stand out PG. Tony Parker and Rajon Rondo deserve honorable mentions too.

John Wall is better than Kyrie.
Wall plays better defense and knoww how to make proper passes& makes his teammates involved.
Plus Wall is much faster& athletic than Kyrie.
