Today I'm reviewing a brand I've been interested in for a loooong time—Cider! This China-based clothing brand has been all over Instagram the last few years and I finally gave it and stocked up on some fall items. 🙊

This was helpful and entertaining! I’ve never bought anything from Cider before but keep getting their stuff advertised to me and I’ve seen what look to be some genuinely nice pieces - came here to see what the deal is since the price suspiciously affordable for how nice the pictures make the clothes look. I might try ordering a couple things! Obviously it is a very low end fast fashion brand but hey, if the piece feels somewhat decent quality and I like how it fits I don’t really mind. My one big reservation is thinking about the sweat shops that the pieces are probably made in.

With what you said about the amount of models cider has I'd just advise that you look at the reviews with photos because a lit of people give mirror selfies which mean you can see the outfit on a wide range of people

Oh and nope, parachute pants back in the 80s or early 90s tended to have elastic waists and cuffs, so yes the legs were baggy (only the popstars and celebs wore the SUPER puffy/baggy ones) but never at the waistline. Mostly we wore them in pastel colours 🫣 or bright crazy patterns, in matching sets! 😂
The black sheer tied front cardigan was my DREAM thing in 1998/99! I couldn’t afford a lace one and the crochet ones where chunky so I tried to make one in home economics/sewing classes at school. 😂 oh that dress (cut on the bias) was pretty much the only style available, aside from some corseted formal styles. Even though I was quite slim looking back, I was SO self-conscious about my mid-section that I hated the clinginess around the waist. The fashion was heroin chic 😩 and my Latin booty and lack of snatched waist was not it. 😭
