Grow a tache, grab a big gold chain, and get yer '80s on! These things are a lot of fun if you pick one up at the right price, and I think I did. Not an heirloom piece, they feel a bit flimsy and disposable, but you'll have a riot until it breaks. Cheers, Jody

Did people in the 80s realize they were living through a time that would be so iconic in the future ?

80s watches are really sleek and fun with loads of personality, glad they released those and hope to see more 80s classics return in the future

As a Gen Xer who was born in the 70s and grew up in the 80s, I approve of this video. I feel sorry for anyone who didn’t experience that era.

I've got the silver with the black dial and love it. As I get older I'm really starting to appreciate Casio again. They give you a hell of a lot of watch your money and unlike a lot of companies that re-release their retro classics they keep their prices on the fair side. All in all I'm a big fan.

I love gold! The look of it, the shmell of it, the taste of it, the texture.

We come across the originals in eBay job lots and it’s astonishing how often they are still working

This is why soviet watches are awesome as well. 70s and 80s vibes are always cool. Im in love in retro futurism. Im also trying to have 3 watches in combination. After the oldest ends its life i would gladly go into "back into the future"

Takes me back. My Dad had the gold one, he loved that watch and was proud to wear it.

Can NEVER get enough of Casio watches! This type of metal bracelet is the least hair-pulling for me. Same bracelet as the Alien watch. 🔥

Around 1983 nobody I knew would be seen dead with a golden ana/digi Casio. Watches for old people. Swatch was the watch.

Generation X, the most AWESOME generation!! No question! I am a proud member of that great generation 👍🏽

Kudos for keeping the stache for the whole episode! These are nice looking, and highly reminiscent of a Seiko from the same era. Ricoh made some like these, too. Honestly, you could do a whole Retro History ep on the watches of Ricoh.

A great affordable retro watch. Looks so similar to the first watch I owned as a kid.

I bought a aq230 about 10years ago in botlek shop (shop catering for international sailors in Rotterdam) i bought it as a beater watch but apparently it was in fashion even 10 years ago so my sister more or less stole it from my wrist and still uses it to this day, still looks good

Big Casio fan, but some watches should stay back in the eighties. 😉👍

What you can do with these plastic coated shiny Casios is put some cheap ceramic coating on them and reapply every 6 months to a year. Definitely helps with durability of the silver coating

I heard on the news that there is a recent claim that Lord Lucan is living in Australia, seeing you with your moustache, you have aged really well!

“I guess you guys aren’t ready for the AQ800 yet. But your kids are gonna love it.”

I have a collection of the big brands w/ big price tags, but its my Casios ( F91W, AE1200, square Gshocks, etc.) and Citizens that get the majority of my wrist time. I just really enjoy them, don't have to worry about dining them or being mugged for wearing them. I'm a child born in the 70's and coming up in the 80's and these bring back that nostalgia and just still look really cool. Good job Casio and thanks for another fun review.

Oh, I don't think my memories of the 80's are nearly as warm. I do wish I remembered for sure what watch I did wear back then! I seem to recall a Lorus, which might have been gold. :)
