So people who bought their homes that are on the beachfront want the state to step in to protect their homes? Meaning they want the state to use their taxpayers money to protect their beachfront homes that should have never been built on the beachfront in the first place. If you buy a house on the beach this is the risk YOU take.

How can the state step in to protect your house that you built right on the edge of the ocean? Also why the hell should my tax $ pay for your mistake??

I live near the beach and bought and had professional installed Generac home standby generator 3 years ago. $16, 000.00 investment.

Best 16 k I ever spent.
Since I had the generator installed --- THE POWER COMPANY HASNT FAILED AND GONE OUT ONCE. 😮

Waves can't hit your house unless you live right on the beach...
I'm sorry but I have a hard time feeling bad for those people and when they demand that the city or state step in to protect their beach front properties it kinda annoys me..

The State to step in and protect their houses? Your beachfront house is NOT my responsibility. Go buy some flood insurance if that is where you want to live. Leave me out of it!

Why should other people have to pay for your house you picked where you wanted to live.

Not to sound too harsh but what do these people think that buy/build homes on the ocean front think is going to happen sooner than later? Then they expect some kind of aid or infrastructure to be built to save their overpriced house!! Like hello this happens time and time again. Like let me build on this here um....Geyser I think I'll call this house Old Faithful. 🙄😮

Ridiculously rich beachfront home owners want taxpayers to pay for their protection.

dredging and taking sand from the oceans isn't helping with beach erosion

Everyone knows the risks to build by the water fronts. Buyer beware.

Why should the state step in to protect home owners that built or purchased so close to the beach that waves can hit them? That is a predictable consequence of being so close to the sea!

The state should not step in when those people made the choice to live there. They should buy insurance and not from the government.

Living on the beach looks great in movies. Not so great in real life.
