WHY though? what actually is it accomplishing in their heads? to get on the news? to not die alone? suicide by law enforcement? there's so many of these that don't even have a clear motive like crime of passion, past workplace, personal beliefs, etc.

The shooter worked at the bank, as a "portfolio banker", but had been recently fired. And what was the reason for firing, is the 64-dollar question. Stealing? Incompetence? Or something politically sensitive that they don't want to say, like being gay?

Kentucky has no laws protecting gays from job discrimination in public or private sector. That fact hardly condones an act of hideous violence and killing. Yet as a practical matter, Kentucky should realize that legalized job discrimination invites vigilante retaliation. Better that someone can address grievances with a lawsuit than an AR-15.
