"All Quiet on the Western Front". For me the film of this year. His message, especially at this time and also with the similar images of the battlefields in Ukraine in mind: More important than ever!

There are certain scenes in this cut from films I absolutely loved last year that made me cry and remember my own experiences 'cause obviously while watching movies we recall our own memories and relate to them in a way that makes us love a piece of film so much. Much love to whomever edited this in the most moving and beautiful way. And much love to these movies for enthralling me and making me feel less alone. But also for making the case for me to see some of these nominees I have yet to see like Women Talking. Good luck to all of them and thank you for making a piece of art that you thought you had to make because of the passion you had not only for yourself but for us the moviegoing audience.

Really rooting for Everything Everywhere All At Once to win this year! I've been studying and making short films for years now and I've always tried to create weird and experimental things, and EEAAO is the kind of creativity and weirdness that I've been hoping to see in a film for as long as I can remember. I find the story and characters really moving and I relate heavily with them and their struggles. It's my personal favorite film of all time and I'm rooting for an Oscars sweep!
