If anyone plans on buying. Just get yourself a real estate lawyer. They are cheap. Put aside 1000 and they will take care of you..They will explain to you the Thai laws. foreigners are not allowed to own land. But they are allowed to own condos. Just remember as a foreigner, you will not be eligible for a loan. so you would have to pay cash for any condo. I often travel from Philadelphia to Bangkok for work. And it is such a beautiful city, a great social atmosphere and I am thinking myself of possibly getting a studio condo. We will see, because of the conflict that is going on with Cambodia. My company has scaled back my travels. But this is a beautiful city and will say is green book approved.

It may look luxurious with all the amenities, but for only $60k, it's not in a premium location, or its value is poor. For that similar condo in Saigon, Vietnam, in Thao Dien in District Two that is 150k+ and growing.

That's really great if you're a social person and like all the amenities, but I am not really that social and like my own kitchen to cook big meals and things like that. But it is a great deal regardless. It would be really great as a vacation home.

I've seen several of these videos on relatively new condos in Thailand They all seem to have similar amenities, all of which seem required, and none of which I'd use.

I assume there is a condo fee and taxes. What are they?
