This video was exactly what we needed to troubleshoot our Frigidaire gas oven problems. Even though the test of the oven ignitor registered .40 ohms, when we switched and tested the burner ignitor on the oven, the gas ignited perfectly. New oven ignitor on order! Thank you.

My Kenmore Gas oven Model # 362.75585890, will work ONLY work in Self Cleaning cycle. I did a clean cycle about 2 weeks ago, didn't let it finish, turned the knob to off, let it cool, and door unlocked, when I went to use it again about 4 or 5 days after that it would not switch on in Broil or Bake. I did put it through the shortest clean cycle again till the end, thinking it would reset if it finished on it's own. It wen through the cycle, heated accordingly, and finished fine. Still didn't change the problem, I have unplugged it for a min or two thinking that it may reset, it didn't.

None of this applies to me.... my oven is from the 1970's/1980's and has no electrical at all. Do you have any advice, short of having to replace the oven/range itself? My oven has a pilot light that always stays and when I turn the knob to activate the oven, it actually lights a secondary pilot light, which is supposed to light-up the bar where the flame jets shoot but it hasn't been working for a month, even though both pilot lights work. Any ideas? I would rather NOT lose the ability to cook or warm up food in the middle of a power outage.
