En bilinen simgelerinden biri, Boğaz manzarasıyla ünlü Ortaköy Camii’dir (Büyük Mecidiye Camii). Aynı zamanda sahilinde yer alan kafeleri, kumpircileri ve sanatçılarla dolu meydanı ile hem yerli hem de yabancı turistlerin uğrak noktalarından biridir. Ortaköy, gece hayatı ve boğaz manzaralı restoranlarıyla da popülerdir.
Ortaköy is a historical and touristic district in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, right next to the July 15 Martyrs Bridge. Known for its cosmopolitan structure since the Ottoman period, Ortaköy is one of the rare places where a mosque, church and synagogue are located together. One of its well-known symbols is the Ortaköy Mosque (Büyük Mecidiye Mosque), famous for its view of the Bosphorus. It is also one of the places frequented by both locals and foreigners with its cafes, baked potato shops and square full of artists on the coast. Ortaköy is also popular for its nightlife and restaurants overlooking the Bosphorus.
