Some expert in the west once said that only democratic country can be creative and innovative because they have freedom of expression, it turn out to be wrong because China clearly can catch up and even pass the west very quickly. Now the same thing said about AI, pretty sure this one will again prove as a very wrong opinion come from false believe that west democracy is the holy way.
From common sense point of view the one that win this competition will be the one that has higher talent in brain quality, more quantity of smart people with that brain talent, more money to fund the project and more market that will use the result product.
