Im not sure either, but my best guess is that this is a really really old version and has improved a lot compared to this (youtubers like the yogscast have vids of a newer version). So this footage is not representative of the game and may even be bad from a publicity standpoint, because it looks simple and not all that fun, even though the game is way cooler than this early alpha thingy.

This isn't even their video, they took it from the creator's blog. And if I'm not mistaken then this is the earliest video of the game whereas the game (even in alpha) is a lot better and a lot of fun

If you read more into about the game, the game is NOTHING like minecraft. Minecraft you build, survive, etc. while as cube world, while it MAY have voxels in it which is all anyone can understand anymore, it is a rpg based game where you don't build at all, but instead level up and and earn gear/weapons.

Just because its a voxel game does not mean its a rip off of minecraft there have been thousands of games that were voxel way before minecraft just because games are built with similar engines does not mean they rip each other off

If you go on the website they have a bunch of videos showing the latest version, so it's not like GameSpot is out to get this game for the "lolz"

Ly love this game and think you need to head over to picroma to atleast see a demo of it. Also a message to gamespot, do you enjoy canna listing the sales of an indie game that a man worked hard on, this game is one of my favorites

My only grief is that the mario jump sound would drive me nutz, like it already is in this video. Other wise I would play this. ;)

Ok this is not even an alpha that means its not even half way done and are working on it
And second for those who just say "its Minecraft", The huge difference is that Minecraft is a building game, its about creating things and RPG was just shoved in by force... THIS game is purely RPG and has a huge open world to explore
So all of you sit back, be patient AND STOP BITCHING!!!
