This film includes almost two hours of original unseen footage not on this channel.

Here is the full length feature film, that I filmed around the fair in 2016 released as a double dvd which sold hundreds of copies. Footage includes travelling to and from Appleby Horse Fair, footage of the horse fair, including the river eden, the Sands area, the ford, fair hill and the flash. This was a costly production to make, in excess of £1000 hence it was released as a dvd in the first instance. Enjoy, spread the word and there could be more in the future?!

In late 50s and early 60s my grandad took me over tp Appleby, he bred cobs and Punches for the woods and and small fields.. just him and me a lad, he would introduce me to many folk some is extended family and they would make sure i was fed and away from the prowling gov folk..

Must be really hard to get replacements if a carazan wheel breaks. Wonder if people make their own or if someone specializes in making them?
