I think it's a nice twist when you discover that the Game Over voice ("Stay determined...") is actually Asgore's

asgore is a very underrated character, mainly because of the buildup to finally meeting him, at the beginning when toriel talks about him we thought asgore was going to be a mean and ruthless tyrant but when you go through the underground everyone talked about how nice a guy he is and when you finally meet him he really is a nice guy and only fights you for the good of his people.

People comment on Papyru's restrain being higher than Toriel's, but people forget that ASGORE does this unintentionally. He will immediately cancel his attack on your INV window and make you drop to 1HP only, allowing you to heal. He delays the inevitable until you cannot heal, and then kills you while you are at 1 HP. I love this fight.

The Fandom mainly focusing on sans losing papyrus in a few timelines.

But a fraction of that Fandom acknowledges the fact that asgore lost; His children, His wife, The undergrounds freedom, He lost his kingdoms hopes, but he still manages to hide what hurts inside, And he tries to free his kingdom. He needs to kill 7 humans, and most likely doesn't want to do it. But he needs to for the betterment of everyone in the underground. He also destroys the mercy button not so you cant run away, not so you have no choice but to kill him, but because he doesn't think he deserves forgiveness.

Whats more heartbreaking is that this happens in *every* timeline.
