Some of this sort of thing would make me feel the person is being less genuine, and actually put me off from working with them.

after saying “investment” instead of “cost”, you will most likely get an eye roll. and this actually summes up everything that is wrong with the advice in this video. the point is not to SOUND more confident, but to BE more confident. if you are confident, you can freely say “it will cost you 2000”. an added bonus is that you will also sound much more competent.
