Best and most comprehensive review on YouTube I've found, nicely done.

Thanks for this excellent video, Paul! I was looking at a Cub Cadet, Toro and the Ariens IKON XD 52. After watching your video and looking more closely at the different models in person, I purchased the IKON XD today. I had the salesman at Lowes attach the seat cable and move the seat to the proper location before they pushed it out to my trailer. Again, thank you for the awesome review as it was your attention to detail that guided me through the process.

Just bought an Ariens 52" XD Kawasaki today. Love it so far. Saved a boat load of money as I was considering the Toro 54" (which I'm sure is a nice mower) but since it has similar hydraulics, motor is equal at best, deck is similar, basically identical tires - for ~$1200 more...it seemed like a no brainer. Hoping the Ariens gives me many good years of service. Have about 1.25 acres that's fairly open. Thank you for the detailed reviews!

Ok man. It's nice to buy yourself something.
I bought a Hustler fast track 54 inch yesterday. It's a commercial mower. I'm getting old and I don't care about mechanicing like I used to.
I'm really liking it. They said it can go 10 mph, but I'm not going to do it.

Informative video thanks.
Good luck with your new mower.

Great review and very informative . I recently purchased the Ariens IKON XD 52 inch cut with the Kawasaki engine. I have mowed my 1.5 acre property twice and I must say I’m sold on the Ariens brand.

Great info. trying to decide which mower is the best all around between the Ikon xd 52" with a Kawasaki or the timecutter 50" with the Kawasaki at the same price point.

I have to thank you for this review, after much review of all the choices and listening to guys like you online I finally made the purchase this spring. I have no regrets so far and after letting my neighbor try mine out he too is purchasing one as soon as it is stocked. It was really your review that sold me on the Ikon XD in the end when you demonstrated its ability on hills as my yard is nothing but hill. Very stable and safe on everything I have to cut, great review and great machine.

Awesome video Paul, been looking forward to this for a while. Love the comments on the transmissions, so many people say serviceable only and it’s nice to hear a reasonable opinion.

Great review. Was going to comment on the 42 inch having three blades too, but I see that someone already pointed that out. I went with the Ariens because it has a much better mower deck than most other residential mowers and the cut quality is fantastic.

thanks Paul for this great review. Is there anyway of changing out the hydro fluid in these 2 drive transmissions at all ? I know its maintenance free however i would like to be able to change out the fluids long term. thank you again.

Excellent job Paul. Great detail. I’ve decided to get this over the Cub Cadet / Toro offerings for my 1.5 acres.

Buying this model from Lowes, based partly on your review and other research. Thanks for the excellent review!

I like this ariens mower, but my biggest concern is the 2200 drives that i read were “no maintenance”. I would prefer something i could do regular oil changes on. I heard you say they gravely zero turn is the same mower with bigger 2800 drives. Which model are you referring to. Also, is that correct that these are no maintenance and how does that compare to the 2800 drives?

Thanks so much for your time and help!!
